Canterbury British & Irish Lions Replica Kit

Canterbury Official Apparel Partner

Leading sports clothing brand Canterbury has been announced as the Official Apparel Partner of the British & Irish Lions for the 2017 tour of New Zealand. The deal brings together two of rugby's most celebrated brands and sees Canterbury hold exclusive rights to manufacturing both the match and training kit alongside a new lifestyle range. Canterbury was established back in 1904 when John Lane, Pringle Walker and Alfred Rudkin began producing woollen garments in the Canterbury Province of New Zealand. Before long they were making uniforms for the army during the First World War and went on to outfit the All Blacks for over 75 years.

Canterbury's relationship with the British & Irish Lions dates back to the 1959 tour of New Zealand. During the tour Canterbury produced their first Lions shirt, answering the call for a new strip after it was spoiled in a prior encounter, cementing their reputation for producing innovative and durable rugby apparel.

Canterbury utilise their heritage and expertise gained through 111 years of commitment to the game of rugby to challenge sporting boundaries and realize the latest technological advancements for on-field kit.
